It’s no secret, weddings can be stressful. Most all of us hope for that ring but once the engagement happens it sets in that you have to plan the biggest day of your life thus far! We’d like to share a few of our favorite tips and tricks to help make your wedding planning fun and enjoyable!
Tip 1: First Look/First Moment – This can save you time but it can also be such a sweet moment for just the two of you. If you do have your heart set on not seeing one another until the ceremony a first moment where you can hold hands, pray, say private vows to one another without seeing each other is a nice way to calm your nerves on the day of!
Tip 2: Book Your Venue First – It’s so easy to get your heart set on a photographer, DJ, cake vendor but ultimately they won’t be able to set your date until you’ve set your date with a venue!
Tip 3: Show Your Friends How to Bustle Your Dress – The photos are done, the guests are enjoying cocktails, and all you want to do is get into your reception, but nobody knows how to bustle your dress! This can take a surprisingly long time depending on the bustle so definitely take the time to show your wedding party how to help speed it along!
Tip 4: Donate Your Floral – This is such a sweet wedding trend that fills our hearts with such joy. One of the worst feelings at the end of the night is looking at all your gorgeous floral and not knowing what to do with all of it. Donate it! Children’s hospitals, retirement and assisted living facilities get so much joy out of receiving donated floral. Ask your venue, florist or planner about how to donate what floral you don’t take with you to brighten someone’s day!
Tip 5: ENJOY YOUR DAY – This may sound like a given, but when all the aspects you’ve been planning for months finally come together it’s easy to worry about how the event is going for your guests. Remember you’re marrying your best friend and the day is about the two of you. Enjoy it to the fullest and the next chapter you’re starting as one!
