How They Met
Jason and Kasey met through a mutual friend in 2009, but they really connected once Jason started tattooing Kasey. After multiple sessions, Jason finally asked Kasey on a date. The two planned for dinner the next night, but Kasey realized there was a meteor shower happening that night she had to see. Kasey explains, “I asked him if he wanted to try and find some meteors, and he said yes!” They spent the entire night together, driving around, talking, and laughing. And when Kasey dropped him off before her 6 am work shift, they shared their first kiss under the stars.

The Proposal
Jason popped the question to Kasey at Quirk Hotel. They checked into their room and were getting ready for their dinner reservation when a full rainbow appeared outside of their window. Jason was planning on proposing later that night, but how often does an opportunity like this present itself? “I was still peering over the edge of our window…when I turned around, he was there with the ring in his hand.” This time it was Kasey’s turn to say, “Yes!”

The Details
While the two didn’t have a particular theme, they went for a minimalist and romantic look for their early spring wedding. They played off the industrial, urban feel of the venue, highlighting the beautiful exposed brick. For their colors, they started with the bridesmaids’ dresses, a light purple, and worked from there. “Everything else just kind of came together loosely around that color.” Jason’s mom is a former florist, so their bouquets and arrangements were straight from the heart, with a plethora of greenery and light pink and purple flowers to tie in the theme.

From meteors to rainbows, Kasey and Jason’s intimate night was just as magnificent. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, they celebrated their love.

Favorite Part of the Day
“My favorite part was the readings, speeches, and performances from our loved ones. That’s Jason’s favorite too!”

Biggest Challenge
“Sticking to a budget!”

Best Piece of Advice
“Be as organized as possible going into the planning process, but be comfortable with last-minute changes and quick decisions!”
