You’ve seen us posting all over social media about our upcoming Richmond Weddings Show at Altria Theater, but you might be thinking, “Why do I need to go to a wedding show?” or “That doesn’t sound like a fun way to spend my Sunday.”  We get that, but we think we can change your minds!  It is the BEST way to spend a Sunday when you’re trying to plan a  wedding!

Attending a bridal show is a smart way to spend a little time with a lot of different very qualified vendors.  At our Show on Sunday, July 16th, we’ll have over 110 vendors for you to chat with.  You can ask questions, set up meetings and just see who you click with. Plus, there will be some excellent food and sweets to sample!  (There will also be concessions available with light snacks and cocktails for purchase!)

Here are some smart reasons to attend the Richmond Weddings Show!

1) You get to check out the stunning venue that is Altria Theater!

We love showing off Altria Theater!  Now we know what you might be thinking: How are they going to fit all those people in the theater?!  What you may not know about Altria from seeing excellent shows like Wicked or Lion King there is that they have a HUGE ballroom below the theater!  We fill this gorgeous ballroom and even use the luxurious lounges on multiple floors to make sure you can meet as many folks as possible.

So, what WILL we use the stage for?  That’s  number five!

Every time we bring someone in who hasn’t seen the space before, we hear lots of ohhs and ahhs!  It’s gorgeous, and it’s also HUGE!  We cannot wait for brides, grooms and their entourages to see this gem!

2) Meet Richmond wedding vendors

From cake makers to event planners to beautiful wedding gowns and photographers, you have the opportunity to speak directly to the people you will work with and learn more about all the amazing products and services they offer.  We will have over 110 vendors exhibiting, and you can find the list of those vendors here.

3) Get great deals

Show-only specials and discounts are offered by many wedding vendors at the Richmond Weddings Show. One very special discount might be enough for you to afford the more expensive flowers you wanted for your wedding!

4) Wedding ideas and tips

Creativity rules at the Richmond Weddings Show, and this year is no exception. Looking for some delicious and beautiful dessert ideas? Looking for unique bridal attendee gifts? Want to have your own logo for the big event that you can also use as husband and wife? You’ll find all these amazing ideas for your wedding at the Show.

5) The Fashion Show!

There is a seat for EVERYONE who wants to watch the fashion show sponsored by Tiffanys Bridal and the Groom’s Corner!  Plus, we’ve brought on the remarkable Caroline Birgmann, owner of Posh PR, to style and produce the fashion show!

VIP tickets to the fashion show have sold out, but remember, your admission ticket includes entry to the fashion show so you can watch from a cozy seat in the theater!

The fashion show will take place on the stage of Altria where there are over 3,000 seats.  You’ll have to get in quick to get a close spot, but there will be space for everyone!!  Tiffanys always puts on a great show, and we can’t wait to see what they have in store for us this year!

Every bride who comes to the show this Sunday will receive a FREE copy of Richmond Weddings magazine hot off the press!  There will also be some RW swag for each of the first 400 couples who enter!

Remember, the show starts Sunday, July 16th.  For a more intimate experience, you can purchase early entry tickets to get into the show at 11:00AM!  General Admission ticket holders will enter at 12:30PM.  You can get your tickets HERE.
